Google has up to date its search developer canonical documentation to specify that you shouldn’t set specify a fraction URL as canonical. Google added that bullet level to the best practices part of the doc.
The bullet level added was, “Do not specify a fraction URL as canonical, as Google generally doesn’t support fragment URLs.”
