Google Search Console might have made a giant replace to its hyperlink counts. I’m not positive how widespread that is, and I actually do not not observe the hyperlink rely typically. However I’ve reported on hyperlink counts altering right here earlier than and I’m seeing a big change from June to now.
Vijay Chauhan notified me of this variation on X the place he posted, “Has anybody observed any drastic decline or enhance in Exterior/Inside hyperlinks numbers within the GSC report?”
So I checked, and in June 2024, after Google mounted a problem with the Search Console hyperlinks report from May, I had 351,000+ hyperlinks:
Now I’m seeing virtually 490,000 hyperlinks:
That could be a 40% enhance in hyperlinks being reported by Search Console in a number of months.
