Google is testing including a dynamic blue coloured background spotlight colour once you hover your mouse cursor over a search end result snippet. The entire background simply behind that particular search end result snippet will change from white, to a spotlight blue colour.

I’m usually not into a lot of these consumer interfaces, however I can see this being helpful and useful to some searchers.
Though, it could be a bit busy once you scroll by way of the snippets.
